To better serve the Beijing Olympic Games and enhance the quality of customer services, China Construction Bank (“CCB” or the “Bank”) has recently launched its English customer service hotlines in provinces, cities and autonomous regions, including six Olympic cities, which are Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Shenyang, Qinhuang Dao and Qingdao. Customers using CCB’s universal national customer service hotline 95533 will be diverted to English-speaking staff after choosing their desired language.
According to the Bank, 95533 Customer Service Centre launched the English Interactive Voice Recorded System (IVRS) and hotlines manned by well-trained customer service representative in selected regions. Through such experiment, CCB discovered that customers tended to use labour - manned hotline than IVRS in enquiring the Bank’s products and information. To satisfy customers’ needs, CCB gathered all the suggestions from those experimental regions and extended the coverage of English serviced customer service centre. This service is expected to be offered prior to the opening of Olympic Games.
Apart from the English service, CCB has also trained customer service staff to offer Korean, Cantonese and Min-nan service to customers, marking CCB as one of the Mainland commercial banks that offers the most diversified language services in customer service centre. It is worth noting that more multi-language services of the Bank will be offered during Beijing Olympic Games.
